American Latino TV and LatiNation TV Debut New Season
THE AIM TELL-A-VISION GROUP announced today that AMERICAN LATINO TV, the
most watched "in culture" English-language show that "celebrates American Latino
Pride" and its companion program LATINATION, which is "representing a new
generation" of U.S. Latinos, will be premiering their new seasons this weekend
in over 100 cities. The distribution represents an all time high for the company
which is celebrating its sixth season of broadcast syndication.
Continuing their pioneering tradition, the producers of the shows will introduce two new seasons that will include compelling segments and entire episodes dedicated to telling stories that have rarely, if ever, been told on U.S. broadcast television.
On American Latino TV, viewers can look forward to a groundbreaking Afro-Latinos episode that highlights the rarely discussed African influence on Latino culture. American Latino viewers will also be treated to an episode taped on location at the New York Brazilian Day Festival (the largest Brazilian festival in the U.S.), which celebrates the uniqueness and diversity of Brazilian culture and clears up common misconceptions by asking the question "are Brazilians Latinos?" Other notable segments include the 30 year reunion of the pioneers of break-dancing, the Rock Steady Crew, a day in the life of legendary photographer Joe Conzo, and a new segment called Latinos On Line that gives viewers tips on where to find American Latino cultura online. Go to www.AmericanLatino.tv/whatson for an up-to-date list of upcoming segments and episodes.
LatiNation's new season will also feature compelling special episodes, including an entire episode and several segments dedicated to the expanding Rockabilly lifestyle and its underground but rapidly growing punk cousin Psychobilly. The Rockabilly Special demonstrates how young American Latinos are spurring the growth of these subcultures and creating a national phenomenon. Other specials include an entire episode dedicated to a celebration of Latino festivals, with coverage of some of the most notable festivals and parades from Los Angeles, New York, Houston, Orlando, Denver and more. Go to www.LatiNation.tv/whatson on for a list of upcoming segments and episodes.
This weekend will mark American Latino TV's sixth season of broadcast syndication in a record number of markets representing over 76 million homes, 92% of all U.S. Hispanic homes and almost 70% of all U.S. homes.
