Video Premiere of "Los Angeles" by Flycat and Sick Symphonies
Last summer in 2006 I was in Italy living "La Dolce Vita" visiting Rome
the Eternal City, Florence, Venice, and Milan. When I arrive in Milan I stayed
with Italian rapper and local hip-hop icon Flycat. Flycat, show us around town
introduced us to Alberto the owner of WAG one of the first hip-hop stores in
Europe. You can find Los Angeles-based Joker Brand among other West Coast brands
there with Italian-based clothing labels like Broke Cloths being supported at
Alberto’s store.
Flycat, represents big time for the Sick Side Family in Italy. Flycat, not only represents our West Coast-based fashion, but makes music with several Los Angeles-based artists. He dropped the intro and outro on O.T.W.’s "Purple Heart" featured on The Ollin Project. He also collaborated on tracks with 5th Battalion and Global City Crew. When it was time to work on his solo album, he hooked up with Los Angeles’ underground kings Sick Symphonies the home of The Psycho Realm and Street Platoon. Flycat’s "Our Sign" album was produced by the Sick Symphonies camp and features thirteen banging tracks and was released through Milan-based Skill to Deal Records.
This summer Flycat came down to Los Angeles and stayed with me while he filmed the music video to "Los Angeles" featuring Sick Jacken, Cynic, Crow and Big Duke. This week on Saturday, December 1, 2007 the music video will premiere in both Los Angeles and Milan via simulcast. – Fotos y palabras de Sal Rojas
